How to identify tempered glass?
Sources: Taishan Xingguang Glass Craft Co., Ltd. Date:2017.07.14

There is no difference in appearance between tempered glass and ordinary annealed glass. How to identify whether a piece of glass has been tempered?

It can be distinguished from the state of the fragments formed by the fragmentation of a piece of glass: the formation of relatively small pieces of regularity is the general tempered glass; most of them are regular small pieces, and a small part of the central area is a relatively large piece, that is, the area of tempered glass In addition, it is not tempered glass. This method of identification is simple, but it has to destroy the glass, can it not break the glass? Also. Tempered architectural glass and household glass are heat treated to be tempered, so they all have stress lines left by heat treatment, and the stress lines are usually invisible.

Light reflection discrimination using the sky outdoors or indoors using windows: Look at the light reflected from the glass or the window, and slowly change the angle of observation. In the case of tempered glass, it is possible to see a column of blue-grey regular, dark intermediate, shallow and fuzzy circles, or elliptical, or elongated patterns on the surface of the glass. However, only the stress pattern of some tempered glass can be seen directly by the naked eye.

To clearly see the stress pattern of the tempered glass, you can find a piece of polarized light, and pass through the polarizing plate (position of the lens when people usually wear glasses) and then observe the above method to see the stress of all tempered glass.
